2023 - 2024 Certification Course

The Psychic Skills Certification Program, developed and taught by Lin Hunter, is the first Certification Program offered by the Edgar Cayce Center NYC . This new program is an ideal, holistic way to develop your psychic abilities, participate in student reading nights, and receive certification directly from the Edgar Cayce Center of NYC. The program consists of ten “psychic immersion weekends”—one per month—that will afford you the opportunity to discover and unfold your inherent psychic abilities, as well as share a year-long learning and growing experience with other like-minded students.

Course Schedule and Descriptions:

Each weekend will provide a wealth of information about a certain aspect or type of psychic practice, as well as an abundance of exercises that will allow students to put their newly learned skills into practice.

Do-at-Home Tasks (completed between meetings):

Daily Practice (a skill-building daily practice will be given with each immersion)
Complete practice readings using the information covered in the immersion class before our next meeting.

Weekend 1 - PSYCHIC ESSENTIALS: IT’S ALL ABOUT ENERGY!
March 11 & 12, 2023, Saturday 10:00 - 5:00, Sunday 10:00 - 3:00

In this segment we will learn about:

levels of consciousness, brainwave states, and right/left hemisphere function, and the part they play in psychic work
how to shift awareness and focus to enter the psychic zone
the human energy field, and the layers used in psychic reading
the chakra system, and how to access the wealth of information that it holds

Weekend 2 - BASIC ABILITIES OF ESP
April 22 & 23, 2023, Saturday 10:00 - 5:00, Sunday 10:00 - 3:00

In this segment we examine, experiment with, and learn how to develop the five abilities that make up the group called “psychic,” commonly known as ESP, or extrasensory perception. This group consists of:

the “claires” - power to see, hear, feel, and know things not delivered to us through the traditional senses
telepathy - ability to “tune in” to the thoughts of others or to project thoughts to others
pre/retro cognition - skill of looking into the future/past and seeing things before/after they occur
telekinesis - ability to use the power of the mind to influence matter, i.e. move objects, bend spoons, etc.

Weekend 3 - THE PSYCHIC READING
May 20 & 221, 2023, Saturday 10:00 - 5:00, Sunday 10:00 - 3:00

In this portion of the program we will learn how to present the psychic information we receive in a way that can be easily followed and understood by the recipient. We will focus on:

developing a strong psychic connection with the client
structuring a reading
devices for determining time (When will something take place?)
methods for answering questions
staying in control of the reading

Weekend 4 - DIVINATION, PART 1
June 24 & 25, 2023, Saturday 10:00 - 5:00, Sunday 10:00 - 3:00

Learn to access hidden knowledge through the interpretation of visions or symbols. Understand the difference between a sign, symbol, signal, omen and portent. Work with scrying, tea-leaf reading, and other devices to:

learn to read symbols, real and abstract
see a symbol as a living, changing thing
discover how the conscious and subconscious are united in a symbol
start your own symbol dictionary

July- Summer Break (No class)

Weekend 5 - PSYCHOMETRY
August 19 & 20, 2022, Saturday 10:00 - 5:00, Sunday 10:00 - 3:00

Psychometry is the ability to sense or "read" the history of an object, a place, or a person by holding it, or coming into contact with its energy. In this segment we will learn about and experience:

blending energies
three types of psychometry
the science behind the skill
theories of how psychometry works
clearing and cleansing your own energy

Weekend 6 - RAISING VIBRATIONS
September 9 & 10, 2023, Saturday 10:00 - 5:00, Sunday 10:00 - 3:00

Raise your vibration from the physical/psychic world to enter the higher realms of light. You will:

deepen your relationship with your own soul
meet your spirit guides
communicate with loved ones who have crossed over
be moved by spirit through inspirational writing and speaking

Weekend 7 - WORKING WITH DREAMS
October 14 & 15, 2023, Saturday 10:00 - 5:00, Sunday 10:00 - 3:00

Learn how to plan, influence, recall and understand your dreams and the life lessons that they carry, as well as interpret the dreams of others. You will:

create a dream ritual
learn to incubate and remember a dream
find meaning and lessons in a dream
start a dream dictionary

Weekend 8 - DIVINATION LEVEL 2
November 18 & 19, 2023, Saturday 10:00 - 5:00, Sunday 10:00 - 3:00

Learn new divination tools to sharpen your skills and elevate your reading style. You will be introduced to:

numerology
flame reading
a third, student-chosen device

December - Holiday Break

INDEPENDENT STUDY

Each student will choose a subject of his or her choice to work on during the month of December. The student will document his/her work and prepare a brief presentation for fellow students to be given on Weekend 10.

Weekend 9 - PSYCHIC INVESTIGATION
January 13 & 14, 2024, Saturday 10:00 - 5:00, Sunday 10:00 - 3:00

Learn how to put your psychic skills to use by assisting law enforcement in the resolution of cold case crimes. You will leave this weekend with a clear path to follow if you are interested in this type of work. Using a solved case for practice, you will learn:

skills needed for this specialized type of work
how to begin a portfolio of your work
when and how to approach law enforcement agencies

Weekend 10 - STARTING A PRACTICE, ETHICS, AND PRESENTATION OF INDEPENDENT STUDY PROJECTS
February 17 & 18, 2023, Saturday 10:00 - 5:00, Sunday 10:00 - 3:15

During this weekend we will discuss the ethics of psychic work, and share thoughts and ideas about starting your own psychic reading business. Students will present their study projects to fellow students.
